Please introduce yourself to OK-What’s followers.

Hello, I’m an artist/rapper named G2.

Congratulations on your latest collaboration with Justin Park, Junoflo, and Year of the OX. How has this collaboration influenced your music?

It was a very fun and easy process just hanging out with the homies while making great songs and visuals. It was very uplifting personally for me to relax but also do work and makes ideas become reality.

What inspired you for “GOLD ROCKY?” Is there a specific person who sparked the lines?

“Gold Rocky” came very naturally since Justin had his hook recorded already. I just wrote whatever came to mind.

Please describe “DALE DENTON” in three words.

Fucking spectacular song.

The music videos for “GOLD ROCKY” and “DALE DENTON” will be released with the singles on March 24. Can you share with us a behind-the-scenes story from making the music videos?

From the songs to the videos, everything happened organically, and all of us were just having fun, but it was cool to see all of us in action in our professional field.

“DALE DENTON” is based on the fight scene in Pineapple Express. What inspired your lines when it comes to challenging and teasing naysayers?

I was the last one to write and record on the song, so I just tried to match the guys’ energy and get it done as soon as possible.

How has growing up in Texas influenced your music?

Texas made me everything that I am. So, naturally, it influences everything! When I feel lost or stuck, it feels nice to know that I have a home to go back to.

How has moving to LA changed your music or performance style?

Being surrounded by creatives on a normal life basis gives me the drive to create more and explore more.

What is a personal goal you have for 2023?

More music and more art.

What are three must-haves for you to have on tour?

  1. Phone

  2. iPad

  3. ID

Regarding creative outlets, you’ve established yourself in the global entertainment industry. From world tours to TV/film appearances, what’s next on the list of creative pursuits?

I originally wanted to pursue art before going into music, so I want to push my art physically and digitally. There’s a whole list of things I want to do, like acting or clothing design, but I’m still shy about it, and hopefully, I’ll ease into it by this year.

What would you say is an area where you’ve grown the most since your debut?

I definitely changed and grew a lot since my move to LA. I think it came with age and career experience. And also, it’s a wild time.

What advice would you give an aspiring rapper?

Health is wealth.

What are three songs on your playlist?

  1. Dale Denton

  2. Gold Rock

  3. Any random G2 song

Lastly, anything you want our followers to know?

Appreciate the support and love! There’s so much more music coming out, and all my art is dope!
